ABSTRACT
This study is designed to explain the impact of policy implementation in achieving organizational growth with IC Global Micro-Finance Bank, Warri-Delta State. The design of this study is case study descriptive and survey in nature. The population of this study is one hundred (100) out of which fifty (50) was drawn as a sample using TARO YAMANI as a mathematical tool.
Four (4) research questions were asked and simple percentage were used to analyze and verify the findings. The major findings were that policy implementation is significant in achieving organizational growth and development.
Although, IC Global Micro-Finance Bank is partially lacking in this direction due to poor planning and poor leadership style, it was recommended that policy formulation and implementation remains a significant force in achieving organizational growth and development and that the management of IC Global Bank should employ qualified personnel to handle the policy formulation process of the organization as it plays a significant role in achieving the desired goal of the organization.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
Background Of The Study
All organization whether private or public needs effective policy that will help channel the achievement of the growth and development of the organization. However, these policies must be implemented in other to make it effective for the achievement of the organizational corporate goals.
What then is policy implementation? While policy on its part according to Olugbemis (1966-79), is seen as “a proposed or adopted course or principle of action”, implementation is regarded as “the act of accomplishing some aim or executing some order” (Grindle, 1980).
Policy implementation therefore implies the stage of policy-making between the establishment of a policy and the consequences of the policy for the people whom it affects.
One of the significant benefit of policy implementation is that it tends to enable an organization to achieve its desired goals and objectives.
Aware of the strategic importance of policy implementation to the realization of organizational growth, many organizations, IC Global Micro-Finance Bank, Warri-Delta State inclusive, are not doing enough in its direction hence thus project titled: “Relevance of policy Implementation in Achieving Organizational Growth”.
Statement Of The Problem
This research study has the following as the statement of the problem;
- Can policy implementation aid the growth of an organization?
- Can IC Global Micro-Finance Bank achieve its set objectives with its poor policy implementation process?
- Can IC Global Micro-Finance Bank compete successfully with other organization with its poor policy implementation process?
- Can IC Global Micro-Finance Bank stand the test of time in a competitive environment with its poor level of policy implementation?
- Above all, to ascertain whether IC Global Micro-Finance Bank can achieve organizational growth where proper policy implementation is lacking?
Objectives Of The Study
The following are the objectives of this research work;
- To find out the place of policy implementation in organizational growth.
- To determine whether policy implementation can help in achieving organizational goal and objectives?
- Above all, to find out if leadership style affects policy implementation in IC Global Micro-Finance Bank, Warri.
Research Questions
In this study, four (4) research questions are being asked thus;
- Is policy implementation a factor for achieving organizational growth?
- Does lack of policy implementation hinders the growth of the organization?
- Is leadership style of IC Global Micro-Finance Bank responsible for its poor policy implementation?
- Is effective policy formulation and implementation requisite for achieving organizational growth?
Research Hypotheses
The following are the research hypotheses;
- There is no significant role between the envisaged or desired goal of an organization and policy implementation.
- Lack of policy implementation cannot hinder the growth of an organization.
- Leadership style is not responsible for poor policy implementation.
Significance Of The Study
The research study on this subject matter must have been carried out before. However, this one is intended to fill the vacuity created and provide more insights on policy implementation in an organization.
