University of Benin, UNIBEN Academic Calendar for 2017/2018 Session is out and has been uploaded online for both old and new students to check.

Are you are continuous or newly admitted students into UNIBEN and has been asking for when is the resumption date for UNIBEN?

It is our pleasure to inform you that the management of the University of Benin, UNIBEN has announced the academic calendar for the 2017/2018 academic session.

UNIBEN’s first semester begins on 7th of January 2018 and ends on 11th of May, 2018. The second semester is proposed to begin by 12th of May then ends by 17th of October 2018.

The breakdown of the UNIBEN Academic Calendar is as stated below;

UNIBEN FIRST SEMESTER 2017/2018 ACTIVITIES

1. 07/01/2018 – New Students come into residence for 2017/2018 academic session.
2. 08/01/2018 Clearance begins for new students.
3. 14/01/2018 – Old students come into residence.
4. 15/01/2018 – Lectures begin for all students for first semester of 2017/2018 Academic Session.
5. 16/02/2018 – Deadline for registration and payment of school charges/fees for 2017/2018 academic session.
6. 03/03/2018 – Matriculation (8 weeks after resumption).
7. 23/03/2018 – End of 1st semester lectures for 2017/2018 Academic Session (12 weeks).
8. 26/03/2018 – 30/03/2018 – Revision (one week).
9. 02/04/2018 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education/Pharmacy/Engineering/Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Environmental Sciences.
10. 06/04/2018 – CED Examination.
11. 09/04/2018–20/04/2018 – Other Faculties Examinations begin (two weeks)
12. 23/04/2018-27/04/2018 – GST Exams (CBT).
13. 30/04/2018-11/05/2018 – Students go down for first semester break (Two weeks break)

 

UNIBEN SECOND SEMESTER ACTIVITIES 2017/2018

1. 12/05/2018 – Students come into residence for second semester.
2. 14/05/2018 –  Lectures begin for second semester.
3. 03/08/2018 – Second semester lectures end.
4. 06/08/2018 – 10/08/2018 – Revision (one week)
5. 13/08/2018 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education/Pharmacy/Engineering/Life Sciences/Physical Sciences/Environmental Sciences.
6. 17/08/2018 – CED Examinations.
7. 20/08/2018 – Other Faculties Examinations (two weeks.)
8. 03/09/2018-07/09/2018 – General Studies Examinations.
9. 08/09/2018 – Students go down (end of 2017/2018 academic session).
10. 10/09/2018-21/09/2018 – Schools/Faculties/Institutes/Departments/Board of Studies  meet to consider 2017/2018 sessional results.
11. 24/09/2018-28/09/2018 – Business Committee meets to consider results for lower level for 2017/2018 academic session.
12. 02/10/2018-05/10/2018 – Senate meets to consider Sessional Results for higher levels for 2017/2018 academic session.
13. 03/11/2018 – New students come into residence for 2018/2019 academic session.
14. 17/10/2018 – Old students come into residence for 2018/2019 academic session.
15. 19/11/2018 – Lectures begin for 1st Semester of 2018/2019 academic session.
