Education can produce unquantifiable benefits for individuals, organizations and the society as well as the world, which is why every nation invests in education of its Senior Secondary School and the youth at large. It is empirical that in spites of huge amount of money and effects by the Federal and State Government to establish valuable and effective Senior Secondary School Programme that would facilitate in the preparation of competent and skilled youths, it has a fundamental problem which has incapacitate its development.
This problem is the indulgence of senior secondary school leavers in the researcher in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State of ascertain the problem and the suggested solutions to the problems. After a careful analysis of data, where a total of ninety four successful respondents which were picked at random to represent the sampled population was tested. About two third of the tested hypothesis affirmed positive, which he remaining one third affirmed negative.
Some factors based on the data, concluded that parental influence, friends, personal interest, inadequate enlightenment campaigns by the government etc. as a result of these factors youth engages themselves in drug and deviant activities, such as broken homes, school dropout absenteeism, examination malpractices, etc. I hereby recommend that; evaluation of drug abuse should be carried out by all and sundry ways should be found to restore parental supervision by social welfare units.

INTRODUCTION
1.1Â BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Students who are in the Senior Secondary age need proper guidance counseling, orientation and awareness on the danger inherent in dug abuse and addiction. In recent years, there are so many attempts by writers to highlight the problem of drug abuse in the school and society.
This study will look at the various factors that could lead drug abuse addition among school children in senior secondary school and also, it will tag to create a system that would be more efficient in tackling the problem to its bearest minimal or eliminating it completely from the school system.
The menace of drug abuse has undermined government efforts through such policies as proving useless to quality education and equity in educational opportunity for senior school children.
To a large extent, parents and government at all levels are stakeholders in the campaign against drug abuse and addiction in the school, this is because at the family level, parent play a dominating role in bringing up their children to the certain level before the child comes in contact with the school and eventually graduated into the society where government policies is in operation.
A morally deficient child is vulnerable to drug abuse and other society devices which could be as a result of a broken home, neglect, under protection and over protection by parents. A child who is facing any of these family problems can easily look for alternative to find solace which could eventually lead to the child to joint a gang.
Government of developed nation like that of Nigeria need to adequately enlighten and supervise the societal development of school leavers becoming responsible, competent and skilful school leavers for the future of the country at large, this in itself can only be achieved involving parents, guidance an consulting clients.
The problem of drug abuse and addiction, if left unchecked cannot only have a negative effect on senior secondary school education on the lead to the fatal breakdown of the society on the verge of total collapse.
This extent, a high powered mechanism need to be on ground that will control the movement and education of senior secondary school leavers not forgetting their basic needs which is paramount to their upbringing by both parents and the various government agencies both parents and the various government agencies in order to have a society full of responsible school leavers free from drug abuse.
This study is going to look the problem of drug abuse and addiction from the side of the child, parents and government in general because the negative impact also goes back to the background of the introduction that is the family he or she comes from and the society they live in, the belief system of the individual should be set on self actualization through educational standard.
