INTRODUCTION
The storage of electrical power remains one of the greatest challenges to the modern science for practical purpose, electricity can be sued as it is generated, when the machine generating the electricity at the power station stops cable network between power station and consumers become dead and no current.
However, some achievement have been made for there are various system and devices for converting electrical energy into some convenient form that can be stored for future use then convert to electrical energy at any required time. This means no other than the solar batteries.
Since the earliest day of electrical power supply, storage solar batteries have been widely used to meet lighting and power demands during the failure of main supply as well as the source of electrical power to equipment used away from the main electrical supply.
However, this storage medium (battery) does not supply this power without been previous charge. And how to replace the lost energy in the correct orderly manner is what the design of this work (project) is all about called ‘solar battery charger’, there are various types of battery charger that are suitable for different kinds of solar batteries. But the one we are constructing is only suitable for lead acid batteries with a constant voltage method of charging.
The charging units consist of a transformer, rectifier, filter and regulating units. The portable 12volts charger has a capacity of about 25 amperes hours (25AH).

And as a contribution to the laboratory, to replace the use of batteries in the laboratory.
