Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina has debunked the rumour making the rounds among both the prospective and stale students of the University, that the Management has allegedly directed via a text message that students should prepare for their exams first week of this month.

The said message had read: ” FUOYE to resume school on 4th of April, 2022 amidst the on going warming strike. The VC had decided to call off the strike for this institution so as to enable students prepare for their forthcoming exams.”
But in a swift response via a statement from the VC’s Special Adviser on Media Matters, Wole Balogun, the VC denied the rumour, saying: “It is not possible, ASUU is on strike . We cannot do anything in school because ASUU is on strike now. This is not just possible at all.
