BUK Direct Entry(DE) Admission Requirements And How To Apply

Bayero University Kano offers degree courses in various faculties and departments. Apart from through UTME another means through which applicant can get admission into the undergraduate program is Direct Entry. Though this unlike the UTME, the candidates are admitted into 200level directly.

So what are the requirements for direct entry admission in BUK?

Any candidate that wants to put in for undergraduate degree in this school must bear it in mind that it is a part-time program and the admission requirements are as follows:

• Prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five (5) passes at Credit level WAEC, NECO or their equivalent not more than two sittings. Must  include a pass at credit level in both English for all applicants and Mathematics for science base courses and social sciences with other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study.
• OND (with merit), NCE, IJMB (with a minimum of 8 points), GCE ‘A’ Level (3 credits) and HND (Pass).
• A’ level certificates is also acceptable. Though, holders of ‘A’ Level certificate would be required to submit their credentials for screening.

The time for selling for DE form for 2017/2018 academic session is 23d April 2017. That is when the fom is expected to be on sale and the closing date is yet to be announced. So make sure you obtain and apply for diect enty as ealy as possible in order not to miss out.
