INTRODUCTION
Accounting is said to be the method of communicating in any business organization accounting is used to quality the transactions involved.
In whatever, accounting extends beyond the actual recording of transactions. It include the use of these records, their analysis and interpretation.
Further more, it is used to know whether the firm is making profit or otherwise, it could be used as well as to know whether or not the firm will be able to meet its future undertakings as they come and so not have a cause to wind up for lack of funds.
Insufficient financial management is one of major causes of business failure especially of this period of economic depression.

Further more, adequate accounting system in any organization also contributes greatly to its financial stand.
Furthermore, government both at the state and federal level is concerned with the financial system that operate in any organization. This is because accounting record make it possible for government to measure whether an organization has complied with the stipulated procedure or not.
Finally, the management at any firm should be made to understand that there is no substitution for standard financial system, that is for efficiency the best economy should be adopted.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE RESEARCH PROBLEM
The focus of this study is to identify the impact of accounting system in a media organization. Hence, in the course of the study effort has been made to find remedy to the following research problem.
What are the various services provided by accounting system to the authority.
What is the historical background of accounting system to the media organization.
What are the role of accounting system receiving money on behalf of the authority.
What are the accounting procedure involved when making payment voucher?
Does the regulatory authorities has role and impact on the accounting system directed to media organization?
What are the effect of accounting system in a media organization on Nigeria economy.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The objectives of this case study is to examine the important of a good accounting system in a media organization and also established if:
The programmes and activities of the authority are conducted and expenditure are made in accordance with what is stipulated in the accounting rules and regulation.
The authorities assets are safely kept and judiciously dispose that liabilities and truly incurred and expenditure are made in the authority.
All revenue and receipt are collected and properly account for.
To know whether authority accounting procedure comply with the generally accepted accounting principles.
1.4 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is the specification of procedure for collecting and analyzing the data necessary to help in identify a problem at hand such that differences between accuracy and expected value of information associated with each level of accuracy is maximized.
RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS
The general hypothesis that will be tested in the course of the research is as follows:-
H0: Accounting system have no positive impact in a media organization.
HA :- Accounting system have positive impact in a medium organization.
H0 :- Accounting system is not only sources of preparing final accounting of media organization.
HA :- Accounting system is the major sources of preparing finance accounting of media organization.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The study is carried out mainly to know whether the good accounting is used in Nigeria television authority. This study is very importance because many corporate organization, Government agencies and individual rely on this study for decision making.
And also it is through this study will know whether the accounting system of Nigeria television authority, Ilorin is good and in accordance with the provision of law. Therefore, this study will solve a lot of problems for the users and bring about improvement and development of the society.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF CASE STUDY
This case study is only a comprehensive study into the kinds of accounting system existing in the finance department of the Nigeria television authority, Ilorin. It is intended to be an investigation into any alleged fraud in the organization used as a case study. Therefore all information gathered to make up this project were based on primary and secondary sources of data.
