2016/2017 UNILAG Nature/Modalities For Admission Screening Into All Departments

Many UNILAG Applicants has been so worried to know how will the school conduct its admission screening this year. We are used to the fact that, UNILAG used to conduct its admission screening through the use of CBT in the past, but due to recent changes, the modalities has to change.

Nature/Modalities Of UNILAG Admission Screening Exercise

The Senate of University of Lagos has approved the modalities for 2016/2017 admission into the institution. If you are an applicant, kindly read this as follows:

1. Screening Score (%): Your SSCE and JAMB Results carry equal weights. This means that your score in UTME carries 50% and SSCE grades in relevant courses also carry 50%.    Relevant subjects are the subjects prescribed for a course and advertised by JAMB. The credit passes obtained in those O’level subjects are the credits to be weighted. Where less than five (5) relevant subjects are prescribed for a course, the credit passes in the prescribed subjects will be weighted as well as the next best results.

2. Cut Off Point: The aggregate score will be used to determine the cut-off point for admission into each of the programmes. Cut-off points for each course will be determined by the performance of all the candidates who applied for the course.
