B. Sc. (Hons) ACCOUNTING AND B.Sc. (Hons) BANKING AND FINANCE
U.M.E: Five ‘O’ Level Credits GCE / SSCE / NECO / equivalents to include Eng. Language Mathematics and any other subjects from Accounts, Economics, Business Method, Commerce Geography, Statistics, and Government at not more than two sittings.
U. M.E Subjects: English, Mathematics, and two social science subjects.
Direct Entry
- GCE A/L passed in Accounting and at least one of Mathematics Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography and Government plus UME entry requirements.
- At least three O/L Credit Passes including English Mathematics and Accounting/Economics at no more than two sittings.
Special Considerations/ Other Qualification: National Diploma in Accounting / Finance or Unilorin Diploma in Accounting /Data Processing with a minimum of Upper Credit grade plus UME entry requirements.

I. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR M.Sc. ACCOUNTINGCandidates with B.Sc. Accounting and relevant discipline from University of Ilorin or any other approved University with appropriate degree of Bachelor and at least a Second Class (Upper Division) Honours or equivalent.
However, graduates of the University of Ilorin or any other approved University who achieved a lower classification of the degree of Bachelor less than a Second Class Upper, may be admitted provided they satisfy the Board of Postgraduate School by scoring a minimum, of 55% in qualifying examination administrated by the University.II. Candidates with M.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Management Sciences from University of Ilorin and other Universities recognized by Senate must have scored at least 60% or its equivalent in their M.Sc. Degree Examinations to qualify for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy Programme.
In addition, all such students shall appear for an interview to be conducted by the Department. Final admission depends on the outcome of the interview.
