Let me quickly explain what this program means in few sentence. We all know the discrimination between the two categories awarding institutions in Nigeria. The University and Polytechnics award B.Sc and HND for their graduates respectively. The institution issuing either of the certificate is not actually the problem, but the importance placed on one over the other.
KWASU Top Up Degree program also gives you the opportunity to top up your degree to a much more better class of degree. Therefore, this post is into two:

1) HND to B.Sc. Conversion: Do you have HND from any Polytechnic and you want to convert it to B.Sc? The conversion is now possible with KWASU conversion programme.
2) KWASU Top Up Degree Program: Do you have 3rd Class or pass and you want to top up to 2nd class upper or lower division. This is for you.
The society and employers of labour, higher institutions of learning including government parastatals placed high value on B.Sc than HND. You get discriminated in everything you want to lay your hand into academically or in term of career.
Since government is not ready to address this issue, some good Universities in Nigeria has introduced academic programs with which you can easily use to upgrade your qualification to B.sc. What this means is that, you can change your HND certificate to B.Sc by running this program.
What I will only introduce you to today is Kwara State University top-up HND conversion program and how to run it.
Let start with, What is KWASU HND Conversion Programme?
This is the only program that is meant to eliminate the discrimination between HND and B.sc holders. Not only for HND holders, it also provides a platform on which a university degree holder, hitherto dissatisfied with his/her class of egree (Third class), could “top up” and come out better.
In the same vein, a holder of University degree who may wish to cross into other related discipline is afforded the opportunity through this programme.
In summary…the programme is into three faces:
- HND can convert to B.Sc.
- B.Sc Top Up Your grade (Pass graduate or third class)
- Changing of discipline (may you want to change from accounting to economics for instance)
